Street music and serenade

László Sallai is a master of the art of living, a music clown. He plays different types of music since the age of 6, currently he plays the guitar and sings in bands named Pygmalion and Mechanikus Narancs. He and his friend, Máté Baksai are performing their own songs and assimilations – creating the atmosphere of street music. What’s more, he’s ganging around at Pszinapszis with his guitar: adventuresome people may ask for a song from him, it will be his pleasure to entertain you with a nice serenade!

Rubik’s Cube champions’ show

Two engineering student colleagues thought that it’d be fun to acquire the principles and the function of the most successful hungarian game, and master it to a professional level.
Gábor Róka started to play at the beginning of 2007, he returned with bronze medals from more foreign country open competitions (accomplishing with one hand only), was generally finalist in the basic events. Bence Ladóczki is on the game since the end of 2007, he’s the winner of 2009 Hungarian open championship’s Rubik's Mirror event. At the Pszinapszis they give a taste of their knowledge by solving the puzzle of the 30 years old cube spectacularly and as quick as lightning.

Tánceánia Company

„Our life is a unique and onetime progress, where everything, even imperfection has their meaning and value.”
Erikson
The Tánceánia Company was established in 2002, as a result of several years’ therapical workshops, proceeded with cumulatively handicapped young people, unable to speak. Since then, their many open contemporary dance-theatrical performances have been caused a great stir. Besides the handicapped people there are some well-known contemporary dancers and therapical specialists taking part in the work of the company. They are committed to pull down all the social barriers isolating handicapped people and to meet them directly in a personal and artistic way. These performances are milestones in the physical and mental development of the participants, moreover they have a great importance in transforming the image of the handicapped and also the social culture, wich isolates them.

Friday, 18.00-18.30

Spicc Studio

The performance was made especially for the Pszinapszis, presented by enthusiastic dancers of Spicc Stúdió which is working under the aegis of Gödör Klub. The members know each other from the contemporary dance course of Gabriella Máthé, some of them have been learning the different techniques for ages, others only for a few months. There isn’t a permanent team, there are new faces appearing from time to time, but something connects us: the joy, the pleasure of dancing, moving and the commitment to the beauty and the expressiveness of this style.

Eco-fashion performance with living statues

The issue of recycling is becoming more and more fashionable in our rushing world, inspiring more and more startling constructions in dressing. We created our irregular fashion-show in this spirit, from the work of talented young designers. Just remember: anything can happen! Don’t be surprised if a lady unexpectedly appears next to you in the buffet queue, dressed in paper from top to toe! Be open-minded and enjoy the unusual stream of visual stimuli!

Lívia Délia Horváth
„I’m studying textile-design at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. I’m concerned about the issue of environment-awareness, I wrote my dissertation on this subject and I strive for this in my thesis too. Most of my works, wich are on display here, were made with recycling, I almost totally recycled the waste, because I reused the available clothes as basic material. My black dress is preparation for my diploma work, in wich I’m trying to reuse materials defined to be thrown away in an alternative way, this time I fixed nylon to textile at a very high temperature, which method gave new opportunities in designing, forming and bracing.”

POP & ROLL

You’ve probably heard about the bass guitar player, Gábor Biksi, who is popular throughout the country. He has been admitted to the music school of Kőbánya in the first place, and many bands want him for themselves. The technique he invented amazes people everywhere. Dániel Kővágó, who is not less known, always proves evidence of his unbelievable knowledge in playing the guitar. Our drummer is Márk Koller, who became well-known as a drum technician and was a member of many renowed bands. Emil Wagner, the heart and soul of the group, ensures that the audience can enjoy music of high standard.

After the nationwide watched talent show, Csillag születik, lots of people got charmed by the voice of a beautiful singer. This voice can’t be anyone else but Veronika Janicsák.

The POP&Roll Band was set up for the audience’s sake, to bring some happiness into people’s hearts, and they make people feel it during all of their concerts.

,, A voice and a guitar” concert

A voice and a guitar, this is how we are a pair. My name is Réka Kormos, and I’ve been learning to sing for 5 years. Although I usually sing songs from musicals, on this occasion we’d rather show something more popular: you’ll hear well-known melodies in our own assimilation. I will be accompanied on the guitar by Bianka Füle who has been playing for one and a half year. We are a brand new formation just for the sake of PSZINAPSZIS.

Sunday 12.30-13.30

Folk singers

Kinga Pólya
I started singing 10 years ago. Now I’m studying to be a folk singer, and to be a folk-singing teacher. Hungarian folk music and culture accompanies me from the time I went to kindergarten, and in my opinion this is the kind of value that everyone should know from their nation’s traditions.
After my studies I’d like to work as a music teacher, and pass on those things that I got from folk music during my life.

Sunday 11.00-11.30

Rebeka Tamási
I’ve been learning folk singing for 7 years. In 2005 I became a part of the musical “István a király”, playing the roll of Réka We performed it with local youngsters of Szentendre, then we also in Sub-Carpathia and Transylvania. In 2009 I also got the opportunity to sing at an Abba concert. I believe in the healing power of music, I’ve experienced it several times, when we performed for blind and disabled children with my classmates.

PUB

The PUB, aka PPK Unplugged Band guitar circle was set up at ELTE Pedagogy and Psychology Faculty in the autumn of 2009. The circle was increased continuously by undergraduates enthusiastic for music. Simultaneously, the repertoire widened as well: beside the acoustic guitars appeared the folk flute, the Irish bouzouki, the electric guitar, and the many opportunities provided by human voices. There’s many of us and sometimes even more. We cannot be called an orchestra in the strict meaning of the word, since people come when they have time and mood to play music. There are no constant members or obligations, the affection to music and joyful joint playing is the most important for us.
