Willany Leó Dance Theatre

The Willany Leó Dance Theatre is a joint production of experienced contemporary dancers and enthusiastic young people starting their carreer, and has been working since november 2008 at Gödör Klub, enjoying the hospitality of Spicc Stúdió. We got the name on the global day of economy. Our notion is to utilize the potentials in space and light available, and present everything and everybody; even phases and semi-finished performances or just improvisations. We are concerned about which theatrical instruments and properties can be effective in this special environment, where direct communication evolving between audience and performer is able to create new dimensions. According to our conception all participants are unities themselves however they appear to be together, all „creator-performer” presenting a global experience about the variegation of contemporary dance. Affiliation, disparity of ars poetica have no importance in Willany Leó Dance Theatre. Productions performed by people with very different personalities are able to maintain attention even of representatives of the generations accustomed to the accelerated stream of stimuli. This is a profession too, our profession. As all the people, we’re searching for ourselves, our language in wich we can communicate and create the same cosmos in other people we have delivered for ourselves.
