THE INTEGRATIVE MODEL OF RESILIENCY - HOW CAN WE LEARN TO IDENTIFY OUR STRENGTH?
16.30 – 17.30
PROF. MOOLI LAHAD
professor of Psychology and Founder of the Community Stress Prevention Center (Tel Hai Academic College, Israel)
The BASIC Ph Integrative Model was developed by Lahad (1992; 1997) and has been used internationally in the context of psychosocial prevention before and intervention following disasters and extreme adversities (Ayalon & Lahad, 2000; Pat-Horenczyk, 2006; Lahad, Shacham & Niv, 2000; Lahad et al., 2009). The model describes six clusters of coping resources that are activated by human beings at times of stress, uncertainty and crisis. Under pressure, different combinations of coping styles will appear. Usually, each individual makes use of more than one cluster, and the unique combination of coping clusters or “coping language.” The Lecture will discuss the application of the model in everyday life as well as professional psychologists.
